Sports Connect has officially released its 2025–26 Impact Report, highlighting a year of significant growth, powerful partnerships and life-changing opportunities delivered across Kent and Medway.
Using sport as a vehicle to Inspire, Motivate and Educate, the organisation continues to support young people and communities through its four key pillars: Education, Community Engagement, Coaching and Restorative Practice.
Over the past 12 months, Sports Connect has expanded its reach and deepened its impact across the region. The report reveals that 149 students were supported through its Education, Training & Skills programmes, while 115 learners completed their first ever sports coaching qualification—helping to build a skilled and confident future workforce.
In the community, engagement has grown rapidly, with over 7,000 attendees taking part in sessions designed to improve physical and mental wellbeing, reduce anti-social behaviour and create safer environments for young people.
A major milestone for the organisation came with its first full Ofsted inspection, where Sports Connect was awarded ‘Good’ in all areas, a reflection of the high-quality education and support provided across its programmes.
Beyond the statistics, the report shares inspiring stories of individual journeys. Learners have progressed from education into employment, with some moving into coaching and leadership roles within Sports Connect itself—demonstrating the long-term impact of its approach.
One standout experience included a “Trip of a Lifetime” to Valencia, where young people immersed themselves in elite football environments and Spanish culture, helping to build confidence, independence and aspiration.
Sports Connect has also continued to strengthen key partnerships, including its work with Southeastern Rail and the Kent & Medway Violence Reduction Unit. These collaborations have contributed to measurable social outcomes, including reductions in youth violence and increased community safety.
Looking ahead, the organisation has ambitious plans to expand its education provision from nine to 21 sites across Kent, ensuring even more young people can access opportunities through sport.
At Sports Connect, every success story is part of a much bigger vision. Our work is driven by a commitment to inspire, motivate and educate people of all ages, creating opportunities that help individuals and communities thrive.
