A healthy start to the year as Sports Connect hosts a Successful HAF Programme at Aylesford Bulls Rugby Club.

To wrap up the festive season and kickstart the New Year, Sports Connect held their third fantastic Holiday, Activities and Food (HAF) programme of the year at Aylesford Bulls Rugby Club. Over two action-packed days, children enjoyed a variety of activities, sports, and delicious meals in an atmosphere filled with fun and laughter.

The children took part in an exciting mix of sports, including table tennis, football, tennis, and bowling, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy. Alongside the sporting fun, there were creative arts and crafts sessions, engaging table games, and even a nature walk around the site, giving the children the chance to connect with the outdoors even in the cold weather!

Fueling all this fun were hearty meals provided by the amazing caterers at Aylesford Bulls Rugby Club. From a comforting cottage pie to a selection of pastas, jacket potatoes, and even salmon, the meals catered to all tastes. Each meal was finished off with a tasty dessert!

Sports Connect Winners

On the final day, each child decorated their own personalised gift box, which they used to store a special hamper filled with goodies. The hampers included recipe sheets complete with ingredients to make a healthy snack at home, an activity sheet paired with a ball to continue staying active after the camp, and a festive Christmas treat to take home with them. It was a great way to finish the programme and enabling families to continue the healthy lifestyle with ongoing support from Sports Connect.

We’re so proud of the success of this HAF programme and the smiles it brought to all the children involved. It was a great way to end the holiday season and start the New Year on a positive note.
